Human Rights Day

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was adopted 57 years ago. Every year on 10 December, Human Rights Day is celebrating as symbol of defending and promoting human rights all around the world to assert that "All human beings are born with equal and inalienable rights and fundamental freedoms".
This year Human Rights Day will be celebrated in the midst of a global debate on torture. The motto for this year is "End Torture Now." All international human rights instruments have prohibited torture. It's an absolute crime which cannot be justified under any circumstances.
